LÉGER, ROBERT - 1927-2012 - On Saturday June 30, Robert, son of the late Camille and Rosa, beloved husband of Frances Wright, loving father of Nicole (Paul), Jean-Marc (Line), Jules, Michelle (Harold) and Charlotte (Mike) passed away peacefully at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe-Claire. Predeceased by his first wife of 55 years, Yolande, his brother Jules and sister Gilberte, he will be missed by his brother George (Anita); his sisters, Rosaline, Simone (Archie), Cécile (Reg) and Elizabeth (John); as well as his 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A special thank you to Ellen McDonald for her care and compassion, to the nurses and aides from the Pierrefonds CLSC as well as the Lakeshore General Hospital staff. Following a fulfilling career at CN Rail, Robert turned his attention to his many woodworking projects, which brought out his artistic and creative qualities. He also enjoyed to play golf and was an accomplished bridge player.
A celebration of his life with family and friends will be held at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux on Thursday, July 5 at 12:00 pm. A small reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Club des petits déjeuners du Québec (www.clubdejeuners.org) would be greatly appreciated.
