Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Memorial Pavilion Unit, Miller Centre at St. John’s on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, Mr. Stephen Drakes, age 88 years, of Coombs Cove. Leaving to mourn his loving family: sons, John (Janita) at Lower Sackville, NS and Jerry (Laura) at Hammonds Plains, NS; grandchildren, Tracy and Nancy; great grandchild, Nolan; plus a circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Annie Florence; brothers, Silas, Albert and William; sisters, Grace, Maude and Eva.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 2:00 pm from Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Coombs Cove with Rev. Juanita Freeman officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Coombs Cove.
