Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank on Thursday, June 28th, Elsie M. Kendell of Grand Bank, age 85 years. Predeceased by parents George & Gertrude Simms, husband Clarence, son Hubert, granddaughter Kelly, sisters, Melita, Vera, Lucy, and brother Gerald. Leaving to mourn: sons, Roy(Shirley) of Fortune, Lloyd(Terry) of Grand Bank; daughters, Norma(Garfield), Mary(Les), Phyllis(Harvey), Glenda(Eric) all of Grand Bank; 12 grandchildren & 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley(Eddie) of Fortune, Audrey of Burgeo, Marjorie of Corner Brook, and brother Russ(Madeline) of St. Lawrence. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends.Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Tim Graham from St. Alban's Anglician Church Grand Bank ,at 2pm on Sunday, July 1st.Interment followed at St. Alban's Anglician Cemetery Grand Bank.Organist was Velma Stewart.Pall Bearers were: Les Price, Terry Simms, Eric Stacey, Matthew Kendell, Roy Kendell, & Don Skinner.
