GANNON, Jennifer Dawn – 21, of Hubbards Point, Yarmouth Co., passed away in Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton on June 26, 2012. Born July 5, 1990 in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of Allen and Evelyn (Thibeau) Gannon. Jennifer graduated from High School in 2009 and was recently working at McDonalds. She was a beautiful young lady, inside and out, who had a love for her family and was a devoted loyal friend. She enjoyed taking pictures, texting, and spending time with friends. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Jennifer had touched in some way throughout her short, yet very memorable life. Jennifer’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her, understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile, her funny words, and all her shenanigans brought so much joy to our lives. Besides her parents, Jennifer is survived by paternal grandmother, Edna White, sister, Jessica Gannon (Randy Vacon), Hubbards Point; brother Jason Gannon, Yarmouth; partner, Morgan Cottreau, Edmonton; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Mary Thibeau; paternal grandfather, Lawrence “Whitey” White. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation took place on Tuesday, July 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service was held Wednesday, July 4 at 2 p.m. from Yarmouth Wesleyan Church, Rev. A.D. “Bill” Newell officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in Jennifer’s memory may be made to “Donations for Jennifer”, which can be made through the Yarmouth Credit Union or Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, 567 Main St., Yarmouth, N.S. “No matter what happened, we stuck together. We promised to love you forever and ever. There was a bump in the road; you were moving too fast, now an angel in heaven you can slow down at last. It’s not easy to get over. Trust us we know, we love you so much, we’ll never let go”.
