Trijntje “Tina” Muys – 63, of Kentville, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the Wolfville Nursing Home. Born on July 12, 1948 in Leimuiden, The Netherlands, she was a daughter of the late Jan “John” and Klazien (DeVries) Muys. Tina had a deep faith and was a devoted member of the Christian Reformed Church. She enjoyed seasonal employment picking apples and strawberries. She is survived by a sister, Erna (Hilbrent) Vanderheide, Ontario; nieces, nephews, church family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Jeanetthe “Netty” Lutz and her husband, Russell Lutz. There was no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2012 in the Christian Reformed Church, Kentville, Pastor Bert Vanderbeek and Pastor Mike Veenema officiating. Burial took place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Bible Society or World Vision.
