Charlotte Mullin

With much sadness, the family of Charlotte Eleanor Mullin (Cole) age 78, formerly of Amherst announce her peaceful passing at May Court Hospice, Ottawa on Thursday, July 12, 2012.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Nora (Broughton) Cole.
A graduate of Mount Allison and Acadia Universities, she was a teacher and administrator, teaching at Brookdale Elementary (Principal), RB Dickie School, Amherst Regional High and the Interprovincial School for the Deaf prior to a career with Indian and Northern Affairs. An accomplished musician, she played and sang with various churches and local music groups.
Charlotte will be sadly missed by children, Peter (Kathy) Rose, Calgary, AB; Mary Ann (Scott Freeth) Rose, Ottawa, ON; step daughter, Donna (Kevin) Collins, Reserve Mines CB; grandchildren, Nicole, Richard, Jodi and Sara; a brother Judge David (Valerie) Cole, Amherst, NS; former husband, Martin Rose, Amherst, NS. She was predeceased by husbands, Bill Somers and Lance Mullin, as well as a brother Roland Cole.
Charlotte's remains have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, Amherst (902-667-8777) from where the funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 2 pm, Rev. Charlotte Ross officiating. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the funeral home from 1 pm Tuesday to the time of the funeral service. A reception will follow.
