The death of Allister Hamilton MacDonald, 90, of Sackville, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 13, 2012.
Born in Springhill, Allister was a son of the late Margaret (McDonald) and William MacDonald.
Allister will be sadly missed by a daughter, Allyson MacDonald, Richmond, BC; one brother, Herbert (Bud) MacDonald, Kincardine, ON; as well as several close friends.
Besides his parents, Allister was predeceased by his wife, Rhoda (nee Siddall) in 2010.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300). There was a time of visitation at the funeral home for family and friends from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2012. Allister will be laid to rest with his wife at the Hillside Cemetery in Springhill at a later date.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the doctors and nurses of the Sackville Memorial Hospital and to Dr. Kelly for his compassion and support.
At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxilliary.
