Don passed away peacefully in the Palliative Care Unit of Shorncliffe, Sechelt, on the evening of July 11, 2012, with three of his children by his side. He fought a great battle with illness over the past four years but eventually lost the fight.
Don was born in England. He was very interested in politics in his early life and was one of the youngest ever Town Councillors in the U.K. He later emigrated to Canada to enjoy this marvellous country.
Don is survived by his six children: Stephen, Juliet, David, Chris, Vicki and Becca; and seven grandchildren.
The family wish to give their sincere thanks to all the health professionals who have looked after Don over the years.
Rest in peace Don, we will miss you.
