ARSENEAULT, FATHER WILLIAM - The death of Father William Arseneault of Dalhousie occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital Bathurst, Friday, July 20, 2012 at the age of 55. Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of Merlene (McGaghey) and the late Raymond Arseneault. Father Bill was ordained on May 15, 1982 and spent his thirty years in the priesthood serving in the areas of Bathurst, Dalhousie, Tracadie, Jacquet River, Belledune, Eel River, Dundee and Glen Levit. He is survived by his mother Merlene; sisters Glenis Arseneault (Paul Emile Doiron) of Tracadie, Gayle King (Norm) of Ottawa; nieces Shelley Arseneault,Terra Corvelle and Ashley Thompson; nephew Jason Frenette; great-nephew Ayden; great-nieces Trista, Tiana, Maya and Eva as well as his uncles Kevin and Ulton McGaghey.
His funeral will be held from St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie, Friday, July 27, at 11 am with visitation at the church on Thursday afternoon from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 in the evening as well as Friday from 9 until time of funeral. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillans Funeral Home, Black Point.
