CRAIG PERSHING MUNDEN October 31, 1922 - January 25, 2009 Craig was born in Wasco, California. He served in the U.S. Cavalry from 1942 -1944 and upon discharge married Louise in Los Angeles. Together they made a life in the trucking business, starting with an old army 6x6 hauling gravel and asphalt for the construction of Los Angeles freeways. From L.A. they moved to Washington State to haul cement for the Chief Joseph Dam, then on to Branson, Missouri to haul for the Table Rock Dam. In 1957 they moved to Port McNeil on Northern Vancouver Island to oversee hauling of iron ore for Mannix Corp. From there, on to North Vancouver and then to Kamloops in 1964 to begin hauling logs. Craig was able to retire early, passing his business on to his two sons. His focus in life was to provide a good life for family and enjoyed many hours spent snowmobiling, rallying in jeeps, tuning up the B modified and square dancing. Craig is survived by his wife of 65 years, Louise, son Mike (Barb), son Jim (Linda) and daughter Pam (Jim) Strausz (all of Kamloops) along with six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Boughton and the entire staff at Ponderosa Lodge. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street.
