It is with great sadness that the family of Alexander Oldrick Hiscock announce his peaceful passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on July 24, 2012 at the age of 95 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his two sons: Cecil (Faye), Fred (Sheila); one daughter, Hilda (Garland) and special niece, Phyllis (Oral) Clarke; six sisters: Hattie, Maude (Hounsell), Ellen (Wallace), Eulah, Marjorie (Jim), Gerine (David); brother-in law, Russell Anderson. Also a special friend, Ruby Osborne; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his wife, Phyllis; father, Solomon and mother, Caroline Hiscock; two brothers: Harold (Marian), Clifford. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Thursday July 26, 2012 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m, Friday, July 27, 2012 from the First United Church Park Street with Rev. Myles Vardy officiating. Interment to ­follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
