It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Glen MacDonald on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney on Sept. 26, 1963, he was the youngest son of Vince and the late Alice MacDonald.
Glen was raised in Ashby and resided on Beechmont Road. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures; a beautiful day, a walk on the beach, gazing at the stars or spending time with lifelong friends, his daughter, Kayla and best friend and soulmate, Lexie.
Glen is survived by Alexis MacDonald; his daughter, Kayla MacDonald (Trevor); father, Vince; brother, Paul (Glenda); sister, Dianne (Alan); sister-in-law, Dale; Kayla’s mother, Kathy; Lexie’s sons, Rob and Nicholas; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Buddy.
Glen was predeceased by his mother, Alice and brother, Andy.
As per Glen’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at St. Theresa’s Church on Saturday 10 a.m., with Rev. James Oliver officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel. Private interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
Family flowers only. Memorials may be made to Palliative Care at the CBRH.
