John William Carson was called home to be with his Lord and Saviour on July 13, 2012.

He leaves behind his soul mate and love of his life and best friend of 47 years Coleen. He is survived by his children and grandchildren whom he absolutely adored. Cal; Derek, Cody, Kyle, and Sheldon Carson, Melody (Gary); Paul (daughter Jaynee) and Brittany, Rhonda (Dan); Jordan Cassidy Barrett and Connie Carson. Other surviving family members in Ontario include: Uncle Billy and Aunt Shirley and their children and his sister Beatrice. In the USA, his family extended to sister and brother in-laws and nieces and nephews. His loss will also be felt by the many friends he had.

John's working career took him from logger to cowboy to rancher to carpet layer to miner. In 2002, after retiring from Highland Valley Copper; he went to Kemess Mines as an equipment trainer and then started C & C Equipment Safety Training in 2008. He certainly enjoyed working with the business clients and associates he had and the many friends that had been acquired through the company relations. John was a hard working man who liked a little golf on the side with Coleen but always kept the love for his family and Lord first.

Memorial will be held at the Westsyde Fellowship Baptist Church on Saturday, July 28, 2012 to start at 1:30 p.m. Everyone who wishes to extend their respects is welcome to attend.
