GALLANT, JOAN ELIZABETH - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of their beloved mother, Joan Elizabeth Gallant, wife of the late Rene Gallant (Deceased, 2002) on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Bobby's Hospice. Born on Dec 29, 1921 in Belleoram, Nfld. Daughter of the late Frances (Cluett) and Randell Fudge. She lived most of her married life in Saint John West having resided in Rothesay with her daughter Frances since 2003. Leaving to mourn are daughters, Jeanette (Rod) Belyea and Frances of Rothesay; sons, Rene (Valerie) of Williamswood, N.S., Michael of Saint John, David (Susan), of Bedford, N.S. Also grandchildren Kevin (Karen), Jane (Aidan), Kathryn, Susan, Andre, Luke (Christina) and Kate. Fondly remembered as "G.G." by her great-grandchildren, Holland, Hayley, Julia, Cole and Liam. Survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been predeceased by sisters, Alice and Frances and brothers Marshall, Alton and Winston.
Resting at Castle Funeral Home “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John West (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 29th, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 12:00p.m from Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
