It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Jean Parsons (nee Hayes) of Mount Pearl, announce her passing at the age of 69 years. In the presence of her loving family and after a short but courageous battle with cancer, Jean passed peacefully away on July 27, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre. Left with fond and loving memories are her dedicated and loving husband of 51 years Harvey; children: Joanne (special son-in-law Wayne), Steve (Dianne), Susan (Orville), Scott (Karen); grandchildren: Nicole, Samantha, Olivia, Jasmine, Ian, Mackenzie; great-grandchildren: Logan, Chase; brothers: George (Ilene), David (Paula); sisters: Doreen (Randy), Dorthy; special sister-in-law close friend, fishing buddy and care giver Eva (Queenie) Nixon; sister-in-law Gladys Leshane; brother-in-law Ralph Parsons; nephews: Bill Nixon, and Dionne; close and cherisher friend Elaine Eales and a large circle of other family and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue. Visitations to start on Monday, July 30 from 2-4 and 7-9, and Tuesday, July 31 from 2-4 and7-9. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Barrett’s Funeral Chapel located on 73 Commonwealth Avenue. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
