Chapman, Shawn Douglas - 46, Amherst and formerly of Millvale, died Friday, July 27, 2012 in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Springhill, he was a son of Stewart Chapman and the late Shirley (Rushton) Legere. Shawn was a well known and thought of resident of the Oxford area until having to move to Gables Lodge, Amherst. Over the many years he stayed at Gables, Shawn was able to connect with many new friends and care workers. Shawn is survived by his daughter, Chelsey Chapman (Corey Wry), Amherst; brothers, Stephen (Darlene) Chapman, Westchester; Myron Murray (Sally Brown) Williamsdale; sister, Sue Ellen (Kelly) Beal, Salisbury, NB; nieces and nephews, Joshua, Max, Samantha, Neil, Andrew and Anthony. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, July 30, with funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, both in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home, 5075 Main Street, Oxford (447-2930), with Rev.
