SARTISON – Terrance Paul, age 69 of Swift Current was born on October 2, 1942, and passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Regina General Hospital. Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 from Christ the Redeemer Roman Catholic Church with Father Richard Jasiak officiating. The interment service was held at Mount Pleasant Burial Park. Terrance is survived by his wife Cathy, his daughter Lisa (Chris) Leoppky, grandchildren: Cole, Brady, Joshua of Swift Current, SK; his son Sean (Peggy) Sartison of Fort McMurray, AB; brothers: Stan (Olga) Sartison, Ron Sartison, Howard (Helena) Sartison, Jim (Linda) Sartison; sister Gloria (Greg) Marasco; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Mabel Sartison; brother Mark (Rusty) Sartison; sister Phyllis Driver; and nephew Charles Driver. In his teenage years he spent his summers helping his dad at Elmwood Golf Course. After completing his grade 11 education, he obtained his Journeyman Mason in 1969 and worked for Southwest Masonry for many years. After leaving Southwest Masonry, he started his own business, Sartison’s Quality Masonry. He left the masonry business and became a custodian at St. Michael’s Parish, as well as, a commissionaire at the city jail. Throughout the years he drove cab for United Taxi during the winters and fully retired 2 ½ years ago. Terrance was also a Corporal in the Army Militia’s 14th Canadian Hussars, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed coaching his son Sean’s hockey and baseball teams, as well as, a ladies fastball team for many years. Terrance also enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, hunting in his early years, and most of all, watching his grandsons at sporting events and just generally spending time with them playing cards and visiting.
