Stagg, Kathleen Frances “Kay” - 99, Truro passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Kathleen (Lahey) Moroney. Kay was one of the last surviving members of the Halifax Explosion. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Prince Street, Truro. Survived by her son, Barry (Barbara), Spruce Pine, North Carolina; grandchildren, Vanessa, Halifax, Dylan, Seoul, South Korea, Myrthin and Tristan, both of Toronto. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert “Bert” and by several sisters. A memorial mass will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the Cobequid Educational Centre , Music Program or a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro.
