Phyllis Edith Joan Dunlop

Peacefully at Northumberland Hall, Amherst, N.S., on Sunday, July 29, 2012, of Phyllis Edith Joan Dunlop, formerly of Maccan, N.S., aged 92. Beloved wife of the late John Louis Stephensen Dunlop.
Phyllis was born on July 22, 1920 to the late Archdeacon George Harrison and Minerva (Barnes) Harrison. She is survived by brother-in-law, Ross Dunlop, Chignecto, N.S.; nieces, Helen (Eric) Ward, P.E.I.; Jean Smith, N.S.; and nephew, Barry Harrison, P.E.I. Great-aunt to Lindsey and Alex Ward, Madi Harrison; as well as great-aunt to Jean Smith’s children, Marc, Marlo, Michelle, and great-great-aunt to their children. Great-aunt to Roddy (Jannet) MacDonald, Randy MacDonald and great-great-aunt to their children, Kyle, Kody, Jodi and Sara MacDonald.
Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, John Dunlop; sister, Elaine Harrison; brother, Garth Harrison; sister-in-law, Velma (Hudson) Harrison; niece, Judy (Harrison) MacDonald and her husband Dewar; nephew, Russell Harrison; and grandnephews, Aaron and Greg Harrison.
Arrangements under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, N.S. (902-667-8777).
Holy Eucharistic service of remembrance will be held at Christ Church, Amherst, on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11 a.m.
No flowers please, but if so desired, memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
