It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alpheus Payne announces his sudden passing in Cox’s Cove on August 7, 2012 at the age of 54 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Dallas (Hussey) Payne, children Floyd (Tania), Nuala, Jacob, grandchildren Marcel, Faith, Siblings Edgar (Beatrice), Melvin (Shirley), Worrick (Audrey), Bernard (Yvonne), Ira (Maxine), Randy (Connie), Josephine (William), Wanda (Ivan), Vida (Paul) all of Cox’s Cove, NL, Edward, Abby of Ontario, Una (Robert) of Irishtown, NL, Verna (Arthur) of McIver’s, NL, Brother-in-law William Noseworthy, mother & father in law Dina & Douglas Hussey, sisters-in-law Emma (Gerald), Lynn (Gary), Dorothy (Keith), Karen, brothers-in-law Dale (Nora), Bobby (Alma), and Mark (Marlene), Abby’s wife (Thelma) also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by parents Lillian and Stephen Payne, siblings Bonnie Woodland, Elizabeth Payne, Margie Brown, Steadman Blanchard, and brother-in-law John Woodland, Douggie and sister-in-law Tracey. Visitation has taken place at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Cox’s Cove on Thursday August 9th, 2012 from 7-9 P.M. Funeral Service has taken place on Friday August 10th, 2012 from the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Cox’s Cove at 2 P.M. with Pastor William Sampson officiating. Interment to follow at church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
