The death occurred peacefully, with family by her side, at Beach Grove Home on Saturday, August 11, 2012, of Darlene Ferne Hawes (MacKeil) of Charlottetown, age 71.
Darlene was the wife of the late Orrin Hawes (O.P.); the loving mother of Leanne, Kelley and Colin (Kellie) Hawes. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Brennagh, Logan, Cole, Chloe and Lauren. Darlene is also survived by her sisters Carolyn Power (John) and Carolee Day (Mick). She was predeceased by her mother, Erma Josey (MacKeil) and brother, Murray Josey.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, Charlottetown, for visitation on Thursday, August 16, 2012, from 5-8 p.m., then to be forwarded to D.S. Crowell Funeral Home, Sheet Harbour, N.S., for visitation Friday 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Church on Saturday at 11 a.m.
