WARD, GLADYS E. - Gladys E. Ward, 87, of The Rexton Lions Nursing Home and formerly of Harcourt, with loving members of her family by her side, passed away peacefully at Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. Born in Kent Junction, she was the daughter of the late Mearl and Beatrice (Warman) Hunter. Gladys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and attended Grangeville Baptist Church. In past years, she was active in church and community boards and committees. Gladys will be sadly missed by her daughter, Jean Chilcott (Donald) and son, Harvey Ward (Joan) both of Harcourt; grandchildren, Jamey and Andrea; sister, Alma Beers of Emmerson; brother, Ralph Hunter (Ingrid) of Lincoln, ME; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Vincent C. Ward (Nov. 2005); sisters, Jean; brothers, Arland, Bruce, Glen, Robert and Burt.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Paul Leger officiating. Reception following the service at Grangeville Baptist Church Hall at 3:30 pm. Interment, Grangeville Baptist Church Cemetery, Grangeville.
