We are sad to announce the passing of Shirley Weller (nee James) of Kamloops on August 2nd, 2012 at 84 years of age.

Shirley is survived by her children Stephen (Catherine), Vancouver, Cynthia (Bruce) Lord, Burlington, Ont., Peggy, Milton, Ont., Peter (Ann), Kamloops, Laura, Toronto, Ont., nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two brothers Edward James of Aurora, Ont. and Sidney James of Whitney, Ont.

Shirley is predeceased by her parents, Edward and Jemima.

Shirley was born in Hamilton, grew up on the Beach Strip in Burlington. She graduated from the St. Joseph School of Nursing in 1950. Shirley married Geoffrey Weller the "Love of Her Life" and together raised their family in Burlington, Ont. In 1992 they moved to Kamloops, B.C. They became active in St. Georges Anglican Church, travelled, golfed, and watched the Blue Jays.

A Celebration of Shirley's life will be held on Saturday, August 25th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Georges Anglican Church in Kamloops, reception to follow after the service in the church.
