Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her family, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, on Wednesday, August 15th, 2012, Ella Marion Scott, in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband Benjamin, sister Ann French, son-in-law Reginald J. Moores, brother Charles Rideout. She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Ruby Moores of Mt. Pearl, Margaret (Darryl Vallis) of Paradise, Betty (Bob Collins) of Mount Pearl; sons: Bill (Gloria) of St. John’s, Fred (Eileen) of Parksville, B.C., Norman (Edwina) of Lisle, Ontario; sister Caroline ( Ron Mansfield) of Scarborough, Ontario; brother David Rideout of Seal Cove; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, as well as a number of other family and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Saturday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m., on Sunday from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral service 2 p.m. on Monday, August 20th, 2012, from Barrett’s Chapel.
