(R.N., B.Sc.N., M.Sc.N. Nurse Educator at Langara College, Vancouver, BC). Passed peacefully away at home after a short but courageous battle with cancer on July 9th, 2012, at the young age of 52. Predeceased by father John and brother Greg. Left with cherished memories is his spouse Jan Meyers; mother Patricia; sisters: Sharon (Carol), Paula (daughter Kim, husband Mike and two great-nephews: Riley and Evan), Laura (Ken and nieces Alea and Kendra), Wanda (Scott and niece Jennifer and nephew Michael); brother John (Charlene, nephews: Jason and Brad and niece April), all of whom he loved very much, as well as a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Also leaving behind a large number of friends, especially Rick and Scott, Peter and Luis and Rob. Cremation has taken place in Vancouver and his ashes were scattered over English Bay as Barney requested.
