WILLIAMS, MARGARET JEAN (PARTINGTON) (FENETY) - It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Jean Williams announces her death at Kings Way Care Centre, Quispamsis, on August 15, 2012 at the age of 91 with her family at her side. Born in Fredericton on July 17th, 1921, she was the wife of the late Ernest Williams of Fredericton. Margaret leaves behind her daughter, Jean (John) Pickel of Saint John; step-daughter, Jean (Gilmore) Stothart of Newcastle; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Jennie Partington, and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret (Farrell) Partington; brothers, John, Harold, and Robert, and sister, Violet Canney. After retirement at NB Power, she enjoyed bowling, bridge, gardening and all kinds of handiwork, especially needlework. She served as President of the Ladies Auxilliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #4. She and Ernie travelled to Great Britain and Europe many times but she loved being home with family best of all.
A memorial service will be held at J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 20th, at 11:00 am with Canon Jim Irvine officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
