ALLAIN, BERTHA - (1911-2012) - At the Stella-Maris Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Friday, August 17, 2012, passed away Bertha Allain. She was 101. She resided in Bouctouche but was formerly of Lutz Street in Moncton. She was the daughter of the late Ambroise and Justine (LeBlanc) Girouard; wife of the late Albert Allain; mother of Irma Collette of Moncton, Joey Cormier (Bernadette) of Bouctouche, Al (Marg) of London, ON, and Leonard (Florence) of Burlington, ON; sister of Jeanne LeBlanc (Adrien) of Moncton, and Auguste (Marie) of Dieppe; mémère of 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; matante to many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Bertha is also predeceased by two children: Aldéa and Zita; four sisters: Sophie, Bernice, Aline, and Germaine; three brothers: Edmond, Alyre, and Johnny.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette’s funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette’s Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 20th at 10:30 am followed by a reception also in the funeral home. Father Jean-Guy Dallaire officiating.
