BRUN, DORIS - (Botsford Portage) - At the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on Saturday, August 18, 2012, passed away Doris Brun, 90. wife, of the late Léonard Brun. She resides at Manoir de la Butte in Cap-Pelé but formerly of Portage. Born October 1, 1921 in Caraquet, she was the daughter of the late John and Louise (Lanteigne) Chiasson. She was a retired school teacher in Botsford Portage and Cap-Pelé and Portage. She is survived by one son, Guy (Roberte) of Cap-Pelé; two daughters: Denise Brun-Noël (Alayn) of Cap-Pelé and Pierrette Melanson (Bernard) of Shemogue; eight grandchildren: Chantale, Véronique, Gabrielle, Natacha, Jonathan, Stéphanie, Natalie and Jérémie; six great-grandchildren: Zachary, Xavier, Rubie, Madelène, Juliette, and Françoise; a sister, Sylvia Hébert of Caraquet; a brother, Lorenzo (Brigitte) of Caraquet, many nieces, and nephews. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by a sister, Sr. Léa Chiasson and a brother, Danias.
Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Monday, August 20th, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, August 21st, from 10 a.m. until time of departure for Ste. Thérèse d'Avila R.C. Church, Cap-Pelé, from where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
