Passed away with his family by his side Arthur Louis Messervey (Bud) on August 18, 2012 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL at the age of 80 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his devoted wife of 60 years Sadie (Midge); daughters: Judy (Willard), Marian (Raymond), Sandra (Terry), Linda, Cathy (Glenn); sons: Arthur Jr., Walter (Tammy); 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters: Marie Head, Yvonne (Baxter), Joyce (Davie) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents Arthur & Dorothy Messervey; brother Albert; sisters: Carrie Thompson and Geri Fletcher. Visitation will take place from St. Joseph’s Parish in St. George’s on Sunday from 7 – 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 – 4 p.m. from where the Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Court House Road, St. George’s. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted.
