DAY, RONALD JOSEPH - Ronald Joseph Day, 74, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Born in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Phillip and Eva (Allain) Day. Ron will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Dora (Goguen); sons, Stephen (Josette) of Ottawa and Mark (Francine) of Moncton; grandchildren, Craig, Alyssa, Brian, Eric and Kysha, Travis, Shannon, Jonathan, Corey, Joshua, Jordan; sister, Hazel Cyr (Al) of Moncton. Ron was a retired air traffic controller and worked at Gander Centre, Halifax Terminal and Moncton Centre. He played hockey and baseball as a boy and young man. Later in life he became an avid golfer and was a member of several local golf courses. Ron was a talented artist who painted, sculpted and played the fiddle. Ron loved his family and was passionate about his grandchildren.

Funeral Mass at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 10:30 am, with Rev. Allison Carroll officiating. Reception in the Parish Hall following the Mass.
