CORMIER, CONSTANCE - Constance A. Cormier, 97 years of age, of Shemogue, passed away peacefully at her home, Twin Birches Special Care Home, Shemogue, NB, on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Born in Murray Corner she was a daughter of the late Mont and Selina (Amos) Allen. Connie enjoyed cooking and was an excellent cook. She loved her family, friends and neighbours and spending time with them. Connie liked going to the beach and watching her children and grandchildren swim and play. Connie's door was always open, with a hot meal waiting for you. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Joan Macdonald of Pembrooke, Massachusetts, Brenda Kendall-Allen of Amherst Head, NS; grandchildren, Heather, Robbie, Matthew, Deanna; great-grandchildren, Rianne, Hailey, Megan, Julia, Jonathan, Gregory and Morgan; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert; brothers, Amos and Ted Allen.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (667-8777). A grave side service will be held at the Bayfield Cemetery on September 1, 2012 at 11:00 am. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Bayfield Cemetery.
