Walter P. Beal, age 72, of Sackville passed away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Thursday, August 23, 2012.
Walter was a hardworking and dedicated truck driver. He began his career driving for Jim Baughan, then drove for over 30 years for Atlantic Industries. He and his wife Jackie had enjoyed camping and Bluegrass. He loved his dog "Brandy" who gave him great comfort after Jackie passed in 2010.
He is survived by his mother Eileen (Beal) Phinney, Sackville; sons Ricky (Lisa), Sackville, Randy, Moncton; daughter Sheri (Shaun) Smart, Sackville; 5 grandchildren, Miranda, Brayden, Samantha, Brittany and Travis; brothers Ronnie Phinney, London, ON, Allen, Darryl and Bill Phinney, all of Sackville.
He was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline (nee Meekins) in 2010.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 1 pm, Rev. Wayne McCarther officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, NS.
