It is with great sadness that the family of the late Albert Sheppard of St. Anthony, NL, announce his passing on Aug. 20, 2012 at the John M. Gray Centre, St. Anthony, at the age of 85 years. He leaves to mourn his wife Ruby; daughters Verna (Maurice) Humphries, Joy (Danny) Keats, Cathy (Oral) Strangemore, Becky (Terence) Biles, and Brenda (Terry) McGarth; granddaughters Kristie, Lisa, Amy, and Melissa; grandsons Terry, Stephen, Kenneth, Damian, Andy and Zack; great-grandchildren Danielle, Lauren, Lucas, Braden, Matthew, Katelyn, Noah, Trent and Charlotte; sisters Francis (Roland) Downton, Margaret (Harvey) Mayot, and Pearl (Bert) Moores; brothers John (Joyce), and Roger (Marilyn), and a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Noah and Clara and brother George. Visitation took place at Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony. The funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 23 at the Salvation Army Church in St. Anthony with Major Dinzel Baggs officiating. Interment followed at the Salvation Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
