Gary Thomas 64 years of Moncton, NB and formerly of Springhill, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in The Moncton City Hospital, Moncton, NB.
Born in Springhill, he was a son of Ruth E. (Matheson) Thomas and the Late Alton E. Thomas.Gary was a welder by trade working for over 30 years at Robb Engineering. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and travelling.
In addition to his much loved mother, Ruth Thomas, he will be sadly missed by his beloved wife the former Shirley Fisher, Moncton; loving father of Nicholas (Shauna) Thomas, Paradise, Newfoundland and Andrew Thomas, Springhill, proud grandfather of, Megan, Madison, Mckenzie,Jack and Emily. Lovingly remembered by sister, Jean (Eldon) McCormack, Brookdale and a brother, Bill (Evelyn) Churchill and by step-children, Rick Downey, Vicki Pereira, Kathy Mauger and Les Lewis.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday Sept. 1, 2012, from 1 to 3 pm followed immediately by the funeral service. Burial in the Hillside Cemetery.
