GALLOP, PHILLIP A. - 1942-2012 - Miramichi - Phillip Arthur Gallop, husband of Barbara (Boo) Gallop, of Ironmen Road, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Thursday evening, August 30, 2012, at the age of 70. Born in Fredericton, N.B., on March 16, 1942, he was the son of the late Phillip A. and Clare (Brewer) Gallop. He was a former employee of the Dept. of National Defense (R.C.A.F.), as well as the Dept. of Fisheries and Oceans. He was Anglican by Faith. He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara (Boo) Gillis; three sisters in law, Irene McCardle, of Miramichi, Stephanie Gillis, of Grand Forks, B.C. and Ann Gillis, of Yellowknife, N.W.T.; two brothers in law, Bob Gillis, of Miramichi and Don Gillis, of Yellowknife, N.W.T.; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Wednesday, from 1 to 3 pm. Funeral service will follow visitation, from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at 3 pm. Interment will be in Miramichi, N.B. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Extra Mural Nursing Program, the Miramichi Chapter of the S.P.C.A., or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
