MELVIN, Marie B. — aged 88 years from Bauline South, Tors Cove. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in the presence of her loving family on Thursday, August 30th, 2012. Predeceased by her husband Gerald (Gerlie) Melvin in February of 1982, and brothers France, John and Matt. Leaving to mourn her daughters Judy (John), Sandra (Kevin) and son Jerry (Wanda), as well as her grandchildren Tim (Karen), Trevor (Ashley), Zach, Nick, Shaelyn, Christian and Marissa and her great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Kennedy and Jordan. Also leaving to mourn her two sisters and best friends Rose Slaney and Marg Melvin (Q-Tips), along with a large circle of family and friends and her precious cat Ebony. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, especially to Nurse Nancy of the Emergency Department. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Saturday, September 1st and Sunday, September 2nd from 2-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial to take place from St. Michael’s R. C. Church, St. Michaels on Monday, September 3rd at 2 pm. Interment to follow at St. Michaels’s R. C. Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
