It is with great sadness the family wishes to announce the passing of their mother Zabine Larade on September 2, 2012 at the Maple Hill Manor.
Born in Cheticamp, she was the daughter of the late Anne (Nanette) Chaisson and Joseph LeFort.
Zabine was a homemaker who lived for her family and was a wonderful cook, who many can attest to.
She is survived by her daughters Annette (Netsy) MacNeil, Lorraine Woods, Theresa Helle; sons Joseph Henri (Theresa), Patrick A., and Edward (Carol) Larade, 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Thomas Larade; sisters Catherine, Mary, Bertha, Judy, Elise and Ethel; brothers Roddie, Joe and Henry; also by daughter Leona and two sons in infancy; sons-in-law Syl MacNeil, Albert Woods and Paul Helle.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and a celebration mass will be Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Leonard with Father Ray Huntley officiating followed by burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
A reception will be held in the Parish hall, Convent St. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford 862-7500.
