DOIRON, ARTHUR - Arthur Doiron, 84, of Shediac, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012 at his residence. Born in Shediac on June 13, 1928, he was the son of the late Olivier and Juliette (Vautour) Doiron. Arthur was a retired transport truck driver for Metran Transport Co. in Toronto, ON. He is survived by his three daughters: Lynn Barr (Dave) of Langly, BC, Eleanor of Oshawa, ON and Carole of Shediac; one son, Albert of Vancouver; three sisters: Rita Richard, Eugenie Goguen both of Shediac and Marguerite DesForges of Ottawa, ON; four brothers: Camile (Albertina), Paul, Daniel (Diane) all of Shediac and Joe (Cecilia) of Ontario; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Bella (2011); a daughter, Juliette (1988); a son, Edouard "Ned" (2002) and a brother, Edgar (1976).
There will be no viewing by request. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph R.C. Church, Shediac on Friday, September 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Following the Funeral a reception will be held at 148 Providence Street, Shediac. In memory of Arthur, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
