MAILLET, JEAN-GUY - 1959 – 2012 Jean-Guy Maillet, 53 of Saint-Thomas de Kent passed away as a result of a Lobster fishing accident on Thursday, September 13, 2012 off the Cocagne Shore. Born in Bouctouche on April 18th, 1959, he was the son of the late Roger Maillet and Victorine (LeBlanc) Maillet of Saint-Thomas de Kent. Jean-Guy was a boat Captain and a Lobster fisherman before his retirement. He will be sadly missed by his mother Victorine Maillet, his wife Annette Maillet, his two daughters; Martine Ivanov (Igor) of Dieppe, and Marcia Maillet (Conrad Hébert) of Moncton, and his two granddaughters; Katia and Annika. He also leaves to mourn his brother Adrien (Paulette) of Saint-Thomas de Kent and a sister Monique Melanson (Denis) of Cocagne, and several nephews and nieces.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Monday, September 17th, 2012 from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Tuesday September 18th, 2012 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery. In Jean-Guy’s memory donations can be made to the family, or to Dr Georges L Dumont Foundation. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
