The death of Agnes L. Spicer, age 89, of Amherst occurred at the Wolfville Elms, Wolfville on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012.
Born in Reserve Mines, CB,. NS, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Margaret (Rennie) Macintyre.
Agnes will be sadly missed by her daughter, Gwendolyn (George) Pope, Chase, BC; a son, David
(Janet), Port Mouton, NS; sisters Isabel McPherson, Sarah MacIntyre and Helen Rooney, all of Kentville, NS; 6 grandchildren, Melanie, Angie, Rosemary, Michael, Elizabeth and George and 7 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Irvine, a son, Gary, grandson, Gregory and brothers Archie, Norman and Bobby.
Agnes's remains have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, Amherst (667-8777). At the request of the family, there will be no visitation or memorial service. A private graveside service will be held in the Amherst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of the donor's choice gratefully accepted. A heartfelt thanks to all the special staff of the Wolfville Elms.
