May 24, 1921 - September 19, 2012. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Kathryn Burden (nee Butler) announce her passing at the Carmelite House in Grand Falls-Windsor on September 19, 2012 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband Andy, and mother and father Bertha and Fred Butler, brothers, Chesley (Brenda) Butler, Tasker (Olive) Butler and Harry (Maureen) Butler. Left with fond and loving memories are sons: Jim (Holly) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Fred (Chris) of Grand Falls-Windsor; daughters: Linda Earle of Stephenville, Judy (Denis) Kennedy of Grand Falls-Windsor. Also leaving to mourn, sister-in-law, Annie Burden Downton of St. John’s; grandchildren: Frank Earle, Stephanie Hilliard, Rachel Sommers, Geoff Kennedy, Tina and Stephen Burden and six great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn are much beloved nephews and nieces as well as a large circle of friends and neighbors. Reverend Randy Lockyer conducted the funeral service at the Central Funeral Homes Chapel on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. Interment was at the Anglican Cemetery in Grand Falls-Windsor. Pallbearers were Jim Burden, Dennis Butler, Denis Kennedy, Geoff Kennedy, Mark Hilliard, Holly Burden. Honorary Pallbearers are Fred Burden, Bob Earle, and Derek Horwood. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Mike Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.
