It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beverley MacLeod, on Sept. 30, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Born in Parrsboro, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Gertrude (Bowden) Benjamin the youngest of nine.
She is survived by her children, Thomas, Halifax, Alice, Sydney, Daniel, British Columbia, and the father of her children, Blaise. Beverley is also survived by her many brothers and sisters, Elson (Fran), Kentville, Aubrey (Shirley), Halifax, Alta, Westbrook, Hilda (Wayne), Ward’s Brook, Carolyn (Archie), Sydney, Hollie (Doris), Parrsboro, Brenda (Wyman), Fox River; sister-in-law, Marianne, Moncton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her children’s grandparents, Earl and Margie MacLeod and their family in British Columbia.
Beverley was predeceased by her brother, William and brother-in-law, Murray.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the An Cala Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
