In earlier years, Joe worked for 7 Up, Sussex and Fundy Gypsum. Then he did construction work for 20 years, before working for Devco for 21 years, until his retirement.
Joe loved all sports and enjoyed the years he helped the Sydney Mines Lakers hockey team. Besides his parents, Mitch was predeceased by one brother in infancy.
Special and warm thanks to sister-in-law, Linda MacLeod, who has been by his side since the day he got sick and to Ian and Jennifer MacDonald for all their help and support.
