JOHNSON, DARLENE - Darlene Johnson, formerly of Peoples Park Tower, Moncton, passed away at the Mazerolle Special Care Home on Wednesday morning, October 3, 2012. Born in Pembroke, ON, on May 9th, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Muriel (Marshaldon) Darby. Darlene owned and operated a hair salon in Moncton for many years, enjoyed her garden and was an active knitter for the First Baptist Church. Darlene is survived by her son Jeffrey Johnson, sister Jocelyn Cunningham (Clem), brothers Patrick Mitton (Darlene) of Cornwall ON, and John Mitton (Marlene) of Halifax NS, and grandchildren Justin, Samantha, Jamie, Becca and Jordyn. In addition to her parents, Darlene was predeceased by her daughter Heather Ann Mannette, sister Beverly Jergins, and brothers Sherman and Welland Darby.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A grave side service conducted by Rev. Dr. J. Richard Jackson will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 6th at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
