MATTHEWS, Phoebe Rosamond, 95, Roseway Manor, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in Roseway Manor, Sandy Point. Born in Blanche, she was a daughter of the late Joshua and Jennie (Thomas) Selig. Phoebe was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a fantastic cook and an immaculate housekeeper. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed listening to music. Phoebe was a member of Jordan Falls Rebekah Lodge. She is survived by sons, William (Christine), Fort McMurray; Gerald (Debbie), Shelburne; Lawrence (Gigi), Osborne Harbour; daughters, Clare; Myrna; Sandi (Ed), all of Shelburne and Carrie (Bill), Jordan Falls; many grand-children, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William; brother, Everette and sisters, Elizabeth and Helen. Visitation will be Friday, October 12 from 7-9 pm in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home Shelburne. Funeral service will take place Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Jordan Falls, Reverend Norma Mitchell officiating. Burial in Lake John Cemetery.
