Richard “Bryce” Greene, age, 59, of Fairview Ave., Amherst passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2012 at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Mary (Blair) Greene, New Glasgow, and the late George F. Greene.
Bryce was employed as a land surveyor with Rayworth and Roberts in Amherst. He had served for many years in the naval and army reserves.
He is survived by his mother Mary Greene, New Glasgow; brother Blair (Betty) and their children Liam, Devon, Colin and Neil; sister Barbara (Russell) Mannette, and their children Erin (Brendon) Mercer, and Kathleen; brother Boyd Greene (Catherine McKean), and their children Marianne and Hannah; sister Brenda (David) Tutty and their children Abigail and Emily.
He was predeceased by his father George F. Greene and brother Bruce Greene.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
