MCGHEE CHARLOTTE

Date de décès : 10 octobre 2012

Kath, as she was known affectionately, passed away at the age of 90 at Stensrud Lodge in Saskatoon, SK. She is survived by her daughter Marg; and son-in-law, Doug Meszaros of Saskatoon; grandchildren, Kelsey, Ryan and Linsey Enns of Saskatoon. She is also survived by ‘special niece’, Lynn Cockburn of Regina and sister, Diana of Scotland, as well as several nieces and nephews in Scotland. Kath was predeceased by her husband, C. R. “Pat” McGhee in 1996 after 56 years of marriage. She was married on June 4 1942 as a war bride in Scotland and came to Canada on February 14 1945. Pat and Kath settled onto the farm in Briercrest, SK where they farmed until 1967. They then moved to Moose Jaw where Kath lived until shortly after Pat passed away in 1996. Kath moved to Saskatoon to live with her daughter and grandchildren until 2011 when she moved to Strensrud Lodge. She lived there until her passing. Kath loved her family more than anything. She loved Scotland, a good book and a good cup of tea. In her younger years she loved music and loved to dance, even teaching Highland Dancing in her youth. Kath was very proud to be Scottish and loved Scotland dearly. A very special thanks to Dr. Paula Paley and the wonderful staff of Stensrud Lodge for the wonderful and loving care Kath received. A private internment of cremated remains will take place at Sunset Cemetery in Moose Jaw at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
