McKERRELL: Paula Frances McKerrell, daughter of Dr. Manus and Noreen McKerrell, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012.She is survived by her loving husband Rudy Baumann; their much loved pets, Jessie, Mobes and Reiley, her brother Jeff (Jane) McKerrell, niece Jennifer McKerrell and nephew Kieran McKerrel, as well as many special friends. Paula was born on February 10, 1960 in Wales and arrived in Canada with her family in 1966. "A friend in need is a friend indeed" seemed to be Paula's motto. There was no end to her giving. Even during her last hours, thoughts were for the care of others. Always willing to give her last dollar. That generocity was also extended to children oversea's, whom she caringly sponsored. During Paula's lifetime, many homeless animals were given the gift of her love. Sammy, her special Labrador lived way beyond her years to age 17. Friends truly believed that she just couldn't bear to part from Paula. Paula loved to participate and watch sports, particularly NFL Football. The Miami Dolphins were her favourite team. She played many sports including fastball, volleyball, basketball and swimming. Paula was a longtime member of the Swift Current Eagles Club. At her request and as a parting gift to all, a celebration of her life was held at the Eagles Club on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M.
