The death occurred at Lake Echo, N.S., on Friday, April 11, 2008, of Dorothy Carol (Rayner) Casey, age 64. Born in Central Bedeque, she was a daughter of the late Weston and Helen Rayner. She is survived by her son, David Jr. (Stacey Hoar), Lake Echo; daughter, Kelly, Edmonton, Alta.; two granddaughters and two great-grandsons; brothers, Ed (Donna) Rayner, Florenceville, N.B.; Ron (Carol) Rayner, Central Bedeque; sisters, Gayle Howatt, Charlottetown and Sandra (David) Simms, Cornwall; brothers-in-law, Raymond Thomson, North Tryon, and Will Dawson, Chiliwack, B.C., and several nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her husband, Dave Sr.; son, Jeffrey Scott; sisters, Elayne Thomson and Diane Dawson; and brother-in-law, James Howatt. The funeral was held at the Atlantic Funeral Home, Dartmouth, N.S.
