Rose Marie Block (nee Waldenberger) passed away October 16, 2012, with her family by her side. She was passionate about her family and keeping everyone in touch and found special joy in caring for her grandchildren. Her memory and life are celebrated by her husband, Helmut Block, daughters Karen and Sheri and grandchildren Brighton, Paighton and Jax. She is also survived by brothers Ken (Shirley), Carol (Lorne Lansdall), Reg (Debbie), Jim (Vanessa), Les and their families. Rose Marie was born Oct. 14, 1946 in Moose Jaw, Sask. to Joseph and Mary Waldenberger of Marquis. After studying secretarial courses at STI in Moose Jaw, she moved to Indian Head, Sask. in 1967 to work at the Experimental Farm. It was there she met and later married Helmut in 1971. After raising her children, Rose Marie went back to work at the Golden Prairie Nursing Home in Indian Head, a job she enjoyed very much. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
